I called two body shops and asked them to put it on my steering wheel. Both body shops won't do it due to an active airbag. I put it on myself by sticking it on the damaged OEM ring. It doesn't line up perfectly (I can see the OEM chrome). It moves around as it doesn't stay in place. I cleaned it with the included wipe prior to applying it. The body shops tell me that the heat from the sun will make the glue dry up and the item will peel off. They told me to return it and save myself $45, but I didn't listen and now I regret it. I didn't know this was a cheap rubber ring with double sided tape. Not sure how your company will fix this...and I can't even call the company to get help. Only by email :(

"Blacktop Edition" Steering Wheel Trim Ring

Store owner replied: The stock trim ring should be removed, and the new one fits into place into the indent. It can be used over the top, but as you see, it is not meant to be used as an overlay onto the OEM trim ring because it doesn't cover it, not is there mush adhesion space on the profile of the stock trim ring. The body shops you've contacted have given you lackluster information. I have retailed these for the last 11 years and have never once had any issue with adhesion when installed as recommended. Most folks who choose to install as an overlay, do so in short term leases due to the restrictions around modifying the vehicle. There was an insert in the packaging with email contact for questions about installation or other generalities. We will be glad to field any questions you have, and would expect that to be the first stop if you want to reach out.
